This is a piece I have recently completed for a client.
She is a special present for a little girl from her parents, her name is Kailani, so I have appropriately named this piece 'Kailani'.

It took me some time to obtain the skin tone to suit.  The flower in her hair and the hibiscus down the sides is iridized glass, white with both pink and green hues. The time spent on this piece was well worth it.I was very happy with the result as was my client.

I have scaled down my markets this season due to family commitments.  I will be at the Flemington Craft Market each month from September 2012 through to May 2013.  I will also occasionally be at the Newport Substation Artists' Market.

I've finally got the opportunitiy to start posting some of my new mosaic pieces.  It has been a very busy few months, keeping up with our market commitments and client requests, family occasions and the birth of our beautiful new grandson.

This piece I completed a couple of months ago, it is entitled 'Anya'.  She is a piece I thought about doing after I saw a picture in a shop window in Germany on our visit last year.  She has a sense of gentleness and serenity about her. All the glass pieces are hand cut and I've added beading and blister pearls to give a slightly 3D effect.
